For tattoo appointments, you can fill out the contact form on our website or send us an email at noirgent@gmail.com. This way, we always have all the necessary information in one place.

We answer emails and phone calls from Tuesday to Friday between 12 PM and 7 PM.

What do I need to make a tattoo appointment?
To schedule a tattoo appointment, we mainly need a clear idea of what you want. In your email, it’s best to include (if you know them):
Reference images of subject and style
Size in cm and desired placement
Preferred artist
Color / no color
Shading (and type of shading) / no shading
Specific text and font (see www.dafont.com)
Any other relevant details
If your idea is still a bit vague, we’ll book you in for a consultation with the most suitable artist. This is always free and without obligation.
-
How is the right artist chosen?
If you’re not sure which artist fits your ideas, we’re happy to guide you. Some designs fall under the basic skills of every artist (e.g., lettering), so sometimes more than one artist can be a good match. In that case, we’ll share multiple artists’ schedules with you.
That said, every artist has their own specialties and preferences. Based on the info you provide and our knowledge of our team, we’ll match you with the best artist for your project.
We also encourage you to do a little research yourself — there’s nothing an artist loves more than being trusted to do what they do best.
-
How does the design process work?
First, send us an email with all the details of your design. Once everything is clear, we’ll suggest available dates with the artist and schedule your appointment.
As soon as the appointment is booked and the deposit is arranged, we’ll pass everything along to the artist so they can start working on your design.
Our front desk team is trained to ask the right questions on behalf of the artists to make sure nothing gets missed. If answers aren’t fully clear, we’ll always suggest a consultation so you can discuss the design directly with your artist.
Keep in mind that creating a design takes time and thought. Our artists create unique, custom artwork just for you. Be as clear and certain as possible about your design idea — there’s a limit to how many new or major revisions can be made.

Can tattoos be done over scars or burns?
We cannot tattoo over recent scars, burns, sunburns, or any kind of open wounds. Once small wounds or burns are healed, tattooing is possible.
For larger scars with real scar tissue, you’ll need to wait about four years before we can tattoo over them, since the skin needs that much time to fully heal. The scar must also no longer be red.
Please note: tattooing over scars is never an exact science. Results can vary — sometimes the ink fades on the scar, spreads out, or heals unevenly. Other times, it heals perfectly. It depends on each person and their skin.
If you’d like more personal advice, you’re always welcome to email us for a private consultation.
-
How are tattoo prices determined?
Our minimum price is €80.
This covers your design, all necessary materials (needles, grips, vaseline, ink, etc.), and the artist’s time.Since we work with 11 different artists, each with their own approach, it’s not possible to have one fixed price list.
Hourly rates generally range between €120 – €140. For day sessions or larger pieces, we agree on a set price between €500 – €700 (to be discussed with the artist).
Factors that influence the price:
Design complexity
Size and placement
The individual client (skin type, time needed, etc.)
The artist’s style and speed
You can always ask us for a price estimate, and we’ll do our best to give you a clear idea in advance.
-
Do you tattoo minors?
No — we do not tattoo minors, even with parental consent.
We believe that at that age, people are still too young to make a lifelong decision like this. What you find beautiful at 17 may not be something you love later in life.
We often receive requests from clients who got tattooed very young and now want cover-ups, which is exactly why we maintain this policy.
-
Is tattoo ink safe?
All of our inks are EU-approved.
Before inks are allowed on the market, they go through a long process of testing and approval to ensure safety. That said:
We do not tattoo pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Allergic reactions are rare but possible, especially with red pigments.
If you’re prone to allergies, you can ask your dermatologist for advice or do a mini test tattoo first.
-
Is tipping customary?
Tips are always very much appreciated — but never required.
-
What’s the best time of year to get a tattoo?
The best time is when you don’t have a holiday, festival, or event planned within a month after your appointment.
Sun, sea, sand, and mud are all bad for the healing process.
-
Does getting a tattoo hurt?
Yes — tattoos always come with a bit of pain. The level depends on:
Your personal pain threshold
The placement (wrists and ribs hurt the most; arms are usually the least painful)
The tattooing technique
Handpoked tattoos are generally the least painful.
But don’t worry: the pain is always manageable.
-
Do you do micro tattoos?
No, we don’t.
We believe that micro tattoos don’t age well over time. A tattoo needs solid lines and a certain size to stay beautiful in the long run.
Our priority is that clients stay happy with their tattoos for years to come.
-
How much time should I plan for my appointment?
Piercing check-up: 15 minutes
Jewelry change: 15 minutes
Piercing session: usually 30 minutes per piercing. More piercings = longer session.
Consultation: 15–30 minutes
Touch-up: about 30 minutes for small to medium tattoos. Bigger projects vary.
Tattoo session: timing depends on your design and artist, given in advance by email.
Please note: appointments can sometimes run longer. Every body is unique, and sometimes sessions take more or less time than planned.
We always plan buffers between appointments, but delays can still happen (traffic, longer sessions, etc.).
That’s why we recommend not planning anything right after your appointment — keep your day free just in case. -
Are there tattoos or piercings you don’t do?
Tattoos with offensive or political messages
Hand or face tattoos if the client has no other tattoos yet
Genital piercings
-
What should I do before my appointment?
Don’t drink alcohol or use drugs beforehand (also avoid blood-thinning medication, unless prescribed — if so, call us first).
Don’t shave the area to be tattooed.
Don’t tan right before your session — we can’t tattoo over sunburn.
Don’t use numbing cream — our artists will stop the session immediately if they notice it.
Eat well and stay hydrated — some people faint if they arrive on an empty stomach.
Arrive clean and fresh.
-
Why can’t I bring someone with me to my appointment?
We value a personal and intimate atmosphere for the best results. Extra people in the room make that harder.
If it’s absolutely necessary, you can bring one guest, but they’ll need to wait in the lounge or café (if space allows). Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring someone.
-
Can I make changes to my design on the day of my appointment?
Yes — small adjustments can be made on the day.
But it’s not possible to request a completely new design or add more tattoos last minute. If you change your mind about your idea, please let us know at least 2 weeks in advance, so we can adjust the schedule and give your artist time to prepare.
-
What if I don’t like my design?
That’s rare — but here’s how we handle it:
We always encourage you to give as much detail as possible by email or during your consultation.
We’ll match you with an artist whose style fits your idea.
On the day of your appointment, you’ll review the design together.
If you’re not happy, we’ll first try to adjust the design.
If that doesn’t work, we may suggest another artist from our team. If they can’t fit you in the same day, we’ll reschedule right away at the front desk.Deposits are handled case by case, depending on the situation.
But honestly: this almost never happens — trust your artist, and you’ll be in good hands.
-
I have a medical condition — can I still get tattooed?
Please consult your doctor first.
We require a doctor’s note of consent, as stated in our consent form.
Your health and safety come first, and we never want to take unnecessary risks. -
How long does the healing process of a tattoo take?
On average, a tattoo takes about one month to fully heal.
For handpoked tattoos, healing can sometimes be a little quicker.Follow the aftercare instructions we provide — healing is 50% of the work!
Keep in mind:No tanning, swimming, saunas, or baths for at least 1 month after getting tattooed.
-
How long does the healing process of a piercing take?
That depends on the type of piercing and your body’s healing capacity.
Cartilage piercings can take up to a year.
Earlobes and softer tissue usually heal faster.
Always follow the aftercare instructions we provide.
If you have any issues (redness, bumps, irritation), contact us right away. -
Do I need to come back after getting a tattoo or piercing?
Piercings: yes — we recommend a check-up appointment to shorten or swap the jewelry once healed. If you’re problem-free, no need to rush back. If you notice issues (bumps, infections, irritation), please book a follow-up.
Tattoos: usually no follow-up is needed, unless a touch-up is required. You can always send us a photo (minimum 2 months after) to check if a touch-up is necessary. This is most common with large black areas or very fine lines.

On your Instagram it says you are ‘vegan friendly’ and a ‘safe space’ — what does that mean?
Vegan friendly:
We offer vegan alternatives for all our materials.
Our standard supplies are not always vegan (for example, stencil paper), but if you let us know you’re vegan, we will use our fully vegan setup.
That’s why we say vegan friendly and not 100% vegan — the quality and costs of standard vegan materials are sometimes limiting, so we adjust when requested.Safe space:
NOIR is a place where everyone is welcome.
We work hard every day to make our shop a space where tolerance, openness, and being your authentic self are a given.
No matter your background, identity, or story — you belong here.
